Sightseer Surge

After more than two years of isolation and a slow reopening, Japan has steadily reclaimed its status as a top travel destination. Even in 2023, numbers were already at 25.06 million. The country is now on course to shatter its previous record of 31.88 million travellers (set in 2019). In this slightly heavier piece, I speak to experts in tourism and hospitality on how Japan will rise to the challenge.
